We've been TTC for 2 years and in looking for ways to deal with it, I bought TCOYF, read it several times, and began to chart 6 weeks ago. Last week I finished the first cycle (41 days).

My CM began on CD5 and was VERY scant throughout the cycle. Most of the time I had to go to the cervix to get any. It ranged from looking like nonfat milk to lotion, with two non-consecutive days of a possible stretch.

My temps were all over the place and didn't show any kind of trend. I'm assuming that AF was withdrawal bleeding and that I didn't ovulate?

The third thing that's really confusing me is CP. If I understand it right, it's supposed to start off firm and low, rising and becoming softer as fertility increases, peaking at or just after ovulation and then returning to normal position.

My cervix is softer at the beginning of the cycle! It got progressively firmer as the cycle progressed, I got what I presume was a Nabothian cyst, and could begin to detect the opening. I've never heard anything about the cervix getting firmer. Position was also weird, although I'm going to see for another month because I wasn't monitoring it all last cycle.

Can anybody help or refer me to something that can help? I thought I understood what to do from the book!

thanks in advance Karin

Wow! I can't believe how happy I am that this board is back up. I've been lurking, and even posting, on some other boards, but it's just not the same *boohoo* Anyway, for those who remember me (and those who don't) DH & I are now on our sixth cycle of ttc#1. I am cd23 today, 9dpo, and my temp went up .4 this morning, which could be the beginning of a triphasic shift, right? I'm not getting my hopes up, and the next few days' temps should confirm or deny, but it's about time I had some sort of positive signal, right? *grin* AF will definitely NOT be showing her face around my neighborhood on Sunday or Monday, so I should know more by then.

Luck to everyone,

Vicky, ttc#1, cycle6, cd23, 9dpo, and waiting....
